Joe was one of the most courteous, polite officers that I knew. Although we were far apart in age and badge numbers, he was always respectful and accommodating at work. My sincere prayers for Joe and his loved ones.

Joe was one of my rookies assigned to the undercover unit. He always had a positive spin on life. I fondly remember when Joe was at my house when the SF49ers were playing the Cowboys for a chance to advance to their first SuperBowl. Joe and I, as well as my son, witnessed the "Catch" by Dwight Clark from Joe Montana. Joe and I hug while my son and dog freaked out seeing to adults acting like young kids. I will keep Joe in my heart and prayers.

We came to know Joe through his special friend, and our dear friend, Joy. Although we only had a few occasions to be with Joe, he quickly warmed our hearts with his pleasant and congenial manner. Joe was such a likeable man and he became our friend. We were so happy that Joy had him in her life.
Joe's untimely passing has saddened us greatly. To his friends, family and loved ones, please accept our most heartfelt condolences for your loss. We will miss him.
