Joseph J Fish

Joseph J Fish, (Joey) of Dallas, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 08, 2023. He was born in South Boston, (Southie) MA on June 19th1955 and the son to the late Mary T Fish, of South Boston, MA. and the late Jehial H. Fish of Falmouth, MA. Joey was raised in "Southie" and attended South Boston High School and was quite a competitor in the Golden Glove Boxing Association, as a youth. He loved visiting Pleasure Bay Beach and Castle Island and spent many summer vacations with his grandparents and cousins on Cape Cod during his childhood. After high school Joey moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area (DFW) where he pursued a career in the Construction trades and over the years worked on many building projects in the Dallas Metroplex. He had many interests and hobbies which include, decades as a licensed Hamm Radio Operator talking to people all over the world, computers, and scanning photos, and strong mechanical and welding skills that enabled him to fix just about anything! When his health permitted, he vigorously participated in cycling with daily rides up to 25-50 miles. Joey was an animal lover as well! His Yorkshire Terrier, "Butch" kept him company and gave him much joy for many years. Joey loved the Lord. He was a member of t he First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas.

Joey will be remembered for his kind, gentle and giving heart and his great wit and sense of humor! He touched many individuals and left a positive impact on all those he met. He is preceded in death by his parents Mary and Jehial Fish, his brother Gerald Fish, and his sister Mary Fish. He is survived by his son Brian Schultz and his grandchildren Tera Jaidyn and Emmett Gideon of Otsego, MN., sister Patricia Scroggins, Dallas, TX., Ronald Fish, Merrimack, NH., and many nieces, nephews and cousins in Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon, California, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

Following cremation, a private family "Celebration of Life" will be held at a later date.
