Joseph Hashek Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 3, 2025.
Joseph Hashek, 57, passed away on March 27, 2025, in St. Petersburg, Florida. Born on August 3, 1967, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Joe brought light and laughter to every room he entered and left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him.

Joe graduated from Thomas Moore High School and went on to attend St. Norbert College, where he began laying the foundation for a dynamic and successful career. He worked with Shearson Smith Barney before transitioning into real estate with Hashek Real Estate, where his charisma and energy made him a standout presence in the industry.

Those who knew Joe will remember his boundless enthusiasm and magnetic personality. He had a rare gift for transforming the atmosphere around him. His humor could disarm even the most serious of individuals, drawing them into his orbit with ease. Joe's presence was unforgettable; he had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and uplifted. His unique spirit earned him the affectionate nickname "Little Buddy," a title that captured both his warmth and the deep affection so many held for him.

Joe found joy in movement and competition-he loved basketball and running-and these passions reflected his energetic nature and zest for life.

He is lovingly remembered by his brother Michael J. Hashek and Michael's wife Wendy of New Berlin, Wisconsin; nieces Krissy Koplin (Keanen Koplin) and Jenna Hashek of Milwaukee; Liam O'Dwyer, Lani Koplin, Lennon Koplin of Brookfield, his loving Linda's children; Mellisa and Brandon Santoro and grandchildren Jordan and Mariah, all of Florida. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; Carol and John Hashek, nephew Jay Hashek and his loving partner of many years Linda Giering.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Eagle Park Brewery, S64 W15640 Commerce Center Parkway, Muskego, WI 53150. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of Joe's vibrant life and enduring legacy. Family and Friends are also planning a celebration for Joe in Florida.

In the Joe spirit of helping others, charitable gifts may be made in Joe's honor at the American Liver Foundation. liverfoundation.org

We will all miss our Little Buddy-his laughter, his energy, and the way he made us all feel more alive simply by being himself. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.

I've always had so much love for Joe and have looked up to him my entire life. He brought nothing but positivity, good energy, and was just an incredible human being. Joe was selfless. He took care of everyone else and would do anything for anyone. No one supported me quite like Joe, especially when it came to my aspirations. He and I could talk about anything and everything for hours, and I could always count on him to make me laugh. Joe was a man of many (many) stories, and I'll hold them in my heart forever. Rest easy Joe, aka big dog. Love you so very much!

Joe was an awesome guy. He really did make everyone feel important. When I was at the camp store and the phone would ring, he would pick it up and in a loud voice CAMP STORE, I´m blessed I got to know him. Rest in peace big guy.

My name is Bonnie Rochon and I used to work at Hashek-Haislmeier Realtors many years ago. John Hashek was one of my bosses and Joe my Landlord at one time when he first started out in Real Estate. Both of them were super people. I'm sorry to hear of your loss.

I went to St. Mary´s and Thomas More with Joey. A year older than me but always made me feel like I was one of the guys. Truly one of the funniest and genuine people I have ever had the pleasure to know. I always wanted to be as cool as Joe. I think everybody did. RIP my friend.

This is my last and most recent picture of Joe when we went to a brewers game here in Florida for his birthday. Was a great day and time! This man was my world, most of all he was my father figure! Taught me so many valuable lessons in life and how to be a man. I'm forever grateful for what he did for my family. Wouldn't be the man I am today or in the position I'm in, in life. I will hold every memory near and dear to my heart and I'll never forget him. Say hi to mom Carol and John for me. Love you Joe!!!

So sorry to hear this news. Great memories of watching sports, playing softball, and working at Smith Barney together. Joe was the life of the party and it was impossible to not have a good time with him. Always friendly and had a big heart.
He will be missed by all.

So many fond memories of Joe in our carefree days at St. Mary´s grade school.
I was so happy to have spent those 3 days with him shortly before his passing.
Joe is at peace and back home with his parents cracking jokes and entertaining all those around him.
I was blessed to know Joe, and Carol
his Mom but the man that impacted my life more than anyone was Big John Hashek. John was my football & basketball coach. More than that, John was an outstanding role model, and mentor to me.
May Joe rest in peace and God grant his soul eternal rest.
