KILPATRICK, Joseph
Born January 24 1932 in Glasgow, Scotland. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joe on Thursday, May 17, 2012, in Vancouver. Predeceased by his parents, brothers Eddie, Jimmy, John, Frank, and sisters Marie and Margaret. He will be lovingly and forever remembered by his wife of 52 years and best friend Nancy, sons Steven (Michelle), John (Anita), and his daughter Alison (Brett). Also left to cherish wonderful memories are his beloved grandchildren, his sister Nancy, many nieces and nephews, and extended family. Joe came to Vancouver from Montreal in 1968 as part of a consultant management team for the construction of TRIUMF at UBC. He was manager of Shawinigan Engineering's Vancouver office. He then worked as a project management consultant for many major projects in Canada and overseas. Later in life, Joe embarked on a second career in Insurance and Financial Management. His love of life, kind heart and generous spirit touched the lives of many. He was a loyal man who dedicated his life to his family and faith. We will always remember his ever present smile and sense of humour. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 25 at 11 am at Immaculate Conception Parish, 3778 W 28 Ave., Vancouver.
