JOSEPH G., suddenly on February 22, 2008, of Wayne PA. Beloved husband of the late Mary (Schweitzer). Brother of the late Richard G. and Anthony E. Lalli. Brother of David J. and John D. Lalli. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday, February 28, 2008, at 10 A.M., at Our Lady of the Assumption, Wayne PA. Viewing Thursday morning, 9 to 10 A.M., in the Church. Int. Calvary Cem. In lieu of flowers, please make contri-butions in memory of Joseph to a charity of the donor's choice.

I met Joe in 1970 and I last heard from him by email the week of his death. We maintained a lively correspondence over all these years. I admired Joe's passion for the common person, his generosity of spirit, his devotion to Mary and his vows, his advocacy for effective education and progressive politics. Often Joe had trouble communicating his meaning succinctly, but I always found it to be worth the effort to listen. May he rest in peace. I will truly miss him.
