Joe Was one of my father's favorite people. Joe and his brothers always came to my father who owned a hardware store in the next block. I went to school with Leo. The day before my wedding my father took his very dirty car to Joe and Joe cleaned it up and made it look like new for my wedding. Dad had all of car problems taken care of at Joe's Shop. When I got a car myself I went there too. The Leible Family a very good family.

My deepest sympathies Fred. I remember the cookouts at your house, Papa Joe manning the grill. Good times. He always had a fresh joke too. Best to you and your family.

Joe lived across the street from my parents. He and my dad were proud that they had both served in the Navy. After a bout with cancer, dad passed away at home. On that day, Joe lowered his flag to half-mast. That simple gesture meant the world to me. Joe was special--sorry for your loss.

My deepest sympathy to his family. He was a fixture in the StLouis
area. He willingly offerred his experience and stories on antique cars to all. Joe was a supporter of the Packard Club & frequently attended
meetings where he was aways ready to share his knowledge. He will be missed.

Every kid should have a special Uncle, Like Joseph Leible. Always quick with a joke, comment, nickname or funny observation. I will always remember Uncle Joe as the family Watermelon Seed Spitting Champion.

Joe was a blessing to many and a helper in countless ways. As a member of the local Packard Club, he enjoyed telling stories about vintage cars and the advancement of the automobile. Having worked on many of those vehicles, he had much knowledge and experience that were hard to match. It was a joy to hear Joe's stories of fact or fiction told in his special manner. I thank the Lord for having known Joe and hope the best for his survivors and friends.

Our family had a deli on Bellefountaine Rd that Joe frequented. He was always smiling and ready to tease. You never knew if he was pulling your leg or not. We sure got a kick out of him, he was a very likeable guy.

Uncle Joe was the best. Always coming up with the funniest sayings. You really never new if he was serious or full of bologna, as he would say. Very fond memories of him in my childhood. He always called me Nietze? That was my Uncle Joe.

Joe worked on my father's and my car for many years. To hear that he was in business for 50 years was astounding. My father had a hardware store on Union a block for the Leible house. I went to High school with Leo and watched him play baseball quite often. The Leible's came into my Dad's hardware store for years until Dad retired. My favorite memory of Joe was that he cleaned my dad's car inside and out the day before I got married so I wouldn't get my bridal gown dirty on the way to church. My deepest sympathy to the family and I say R.I.P. Joe you deserve it.
Sincerely
Viola Bohn (nee) Lorberg

My father, Art Mueller, was a life long fellow St. Louis auto technician and knew Joe well for many years. After Dad got too old to drive safely, I would take him to the ASC and IGO meetings which were always an interesting mix of fellowship and technical stuff. I remember Joe as a real nice guy. RIP, Joe.
