Joseph Lindberg Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 23, 2012.
Jan. 21, 2012 our beloved husband and father, Joseph H. Lindberg passed over to his Lord with wife Barbara at his side. Joe was born at Morton Hospital Dec. 18, 1941 to Harry and Helen Lindberg. Joe will be missed by many as his life has touched many in East Lewis County. He loved the valley, not leaving for 70 years.
Joe grew up in Kosmos, Wash., where he could be seen picking up bottles to sell so he could go to the movies on Friday nights or riding his bike to town. Joe met Barbara, his lifelong partner in Randle, Wash. Joe and Barbara were married on June 23, 1962 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to form a bond to last 49 years. Joe and Barbara moved to Morton, Wash., in May 1966 where they raised their family and have lived together until his passing.
Joe enjoyed life, hunting, fishing and had a passion for driving log truck. He enjoyed fishing the Cowltiz River with his grandpa Joe Scalf, telling many stories and later fishing and hunting with son and family. Joe began driving for Mt. Adams Veneer in Randle, Wash., hauling veneer in 1968. During his driving career he drove dump truck and chip truck but had a passion for driving logging trucks, it fit perfectly with his love of the outdoors. With his work ethic he never missed a days work. His only regret was not being able to fulfill his desire to be an off road trucker in Alaska.
Joe fell ill in 2002 due to a accident while loading his truck. He struggled with the long term effects of this until his passing. Thanks to family involvement he was able to be at home with his loving wife. Special thanks to Norman and Bonnie Cline for their selfless assistance in his care, allowing him to remain at home. Joe will be held close to our hearts and will not be forgotten. He will be missed in our lives, until we meet again, we love you.
