Joseph Matthews Obituary
Mr. Joseph J. Matthews, age 78, of Eastover died Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. Mr. Matthews was born on December 7, 1939 in Harnett Co the son of the late Junie Matthews & Effie Mae Vaughan Matthews and is preceded in death by sisters, Margie Ammons, Mildred Bradshaw, Mary Wimberly & Mozella McLaughlin and brothers, Allen Matthews & C.T. Matthews. He was a retired farmer and carpenter, He loved playing music and loved being with his family. He is survived by 2 brothers, Billy Ray Matthews of Lillington, NC and Cliff Matthews & (wife) Kathy of Coats, NC. Several Nieces and Nephews.There will be a private memorial service at a later date.
