Joseph Mikula Obituary
Peacefully at the Health Sciences North, Sudbury on Tuesday October 25, 2022 at the age of 85. Loving husband of Barbara of 65 wonderful years. Proud father of Karen (Shaun). Cherished brother of John (Erica). Predeceased by his siblings Fred, Frank, Theresa, and Maria. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family in Austria. Joseph made his cottage his retirement haven 20 years ago. He loved the scenery, wildlife, and the view from his porch. He would enjoy his time feeding the chipmunks and birds. He had adored his cat Jillian that sadly predeceased him earlier this year. He was a man of many talents, tinkering and fixing anything that he could. The family would like to thank the doctors at The West Parry Sound Health Centre, specifically nurse Nelson Jay for the kindness and compassion Joseph received on the many visits. At Health Sciences North, the entire Cardiac and Nephrology units for the outstanding care that he received, Thank you. It is appreciated more than you will ever know. Cremation services entrusted to Torrance Funeral Home & Chapel Limited (89 Bowes St. Parry Sound. If desired, as an expression of sympathy, donations to West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

My sincerest sympathy to Barbara and Karen. Even though our family is not close, I remember the welcoming visit my husband and I had at your cottage many years ago. Joe was a kind and loving soul. May he rest in peace.
