PLASAY – Joseph P., 78, Davidsville, died April 17, 2009, in Johnstown. Born Nov. 23, 1930, in Hollsopple, the son of Valentine and Mary (Ivancina) Plasay. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Betty (Dupre); brother, Michael Plasay; and brother-in-law, Morgie Najjar. Survived by sister, Helen Najjar; nephews, Morgan, and wife, Kim, and Michael, and wife, Alena; great-nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Jeffery, Lindsey and Travis; and these stepdaughters: Bonnie, and husband, Andy; Dorie, and husband, Dave; Diana, and husband, Alex; and Sandy, and husband, Frank, and their families. Also survived by the Ryan family. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Member of CFU Lodge 5, Hollsopple VFW Post 8861 and the Jerome American Legion. At Joseph's request there will be no viewing or visitation. A memorial Mass will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville, Father Michael Lewandowski, celebrant. Committal is private to the family.
