Pap was a great man a good father and wonderful grandfather. Wise, a good giver of advice and teacher of all things needed to be a good worker, and to have a good life. Honest, caring, trustworthy, true to his word and fun to talk to. I always think about you Pap, and will never stop.

This is to let you know, by one of the sons of Thomas Lawry (Edward - 92), part owner of the Steel Products Co of McKees Rocks for whom Joe worked for many years, our whole family appreciated that Joe was a fine gentleman and worker. We were quite sorry to hear of your loss.

Sorry to hear of the passing of 'Uncle' Joe Schonbeck. Deepest condolences to the family.

(Great) Uncle Joe and (Great) Aunt Marie also threw large family picnics in their wooded backyard for many years. All of us cousins, and relatives remember them very well.

Uncle Joe and other relatives would sing and play instruments at these picnics, giving kazoos to us kids! Our family even had somewhere tape recordings of one of these picnics.

Thanks to Uncle Joe and Aunt Marie for the many good times; we all really appreciated and enjoyed it.

I was saddened to hear about Joe. When I moved to Robinson nearly 20 years ago, he was one of the first residents I met while at a Forest Grove Firehall pancake breakfast. Joe even offered his tax accessor assistance. He will be missed.
