Dr Slick cared for the animals on my family's farm for many, many years. (George Miller/Buttonwood Springs Farm, Warminster, PA) My father told me many stories about how hard he worked keeping the livestock, horses, dogs and cats healthy. Once my father got a new (young & spazzy) quarter horse gelding named Dandy. Dandy introduced himself by biting their senior mare, Dolly. Dandy nearly ripped her lip off! Dad said it was gruesome! Dr Slick did an amazing repair and after healing, it was cosmetically perfect! One of many times Dr Slick came to the rescue! Sending our condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Dr Slick. He was a skilled vet and a great man.

Dr. Slick was a very caring veternarian. He also saved my cat from poinsettia poisoning which I was forever grateful.

It's hard to believe it's been a year already since the world lost such a great man. He was always compassionate with humans as well as out pets.
I remember one time I took my cat to be spayed. The person working for him took my cat in but apparently didn't write anything down. When I called to ask about her, he said 'you have the mystery cat'. I said 'you have my alarm clock'. He got her spayed and I got her back soon after.

As children we loved to see Dr. Slick pull into our barnyard! He was a kind man with a wonderful sense of humor. I'm deeply sorry for the family's loss.

I can still remember as a small girl how much I enjoyed the good sense of humor on the Slick side of my family -- Joe and Ruth, my mom's first cousins, always made me laugh, as did their father Uncle Joe, my Grandmom Lulu's brother.

Doc Slick was like a second father to me. He was interested in me as a person as well as helping my/our animals. He was always encouraging me with things and would say to let him know how things were going.
He will be missed.

The Doc... or Dr. Joe, as our Mom called him. She is a fairly new resident at Rockhill, and introduced us to him. He called her The Greek or the lady with the Hat. Always smiling, always up for a conversation. He would give our 3 year old son, Wyatt, rides on his scooter... followed by Hershey kisses! What a lovely person. We were saddened to hear this news. Sending our sympathies to his family.
