AGE: 67 • Bayville

Joseph V. Svirnelis, 67, of Bayville, died suddenly from his illness on February 4, 2017. Born in Paterson, he lived in Kearny before moving to Bayville in 1975. Mr. Svirnelis retired as bank Manager at Columbia bank in Marlboro after 32 years of service. Joe was a lover of all animals, especially cats and birds.

Surviving are; his wife of 43 years, Marianne; three sons, Joe and his fiancé Amy, Scott and Greg. Also, he is survived by his brother Vincent (Dennis).

Visiting hours will be Thursday, Feb. 9th, from 3pm to 6pm at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. Funeral Friday, 10am at the funeral home before celebrating an 11am Funeral Mass at St. Barnabas Church, Bayville. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's memory to; Caregivers of Central Ocean County, (caregivervolunteers.org), would be appreciated.

Marianne and family,
I was so shocked and saddened to learn that Joe had passed. I am heart broken for all of you. May Joe rest in eternal peace. I pray for all of you, and especially you, Marianne.
