Joseph Tartaglia Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 21, 2025.
Joseph Tartaglia, 49, passed away on May 17, 2025, in Austin, Texas, after a valiant fight against cancer. Born on March 10, 1976, in Queens, New York, Joe lived a life defined by his many passions. Family, sports, horses, but his primary driving force was creating a sense of community and caring in every endeavor. It was all about people to Joe. He was a natural leader and true competitor, but Joe cared more about fair play and camaraderie than winning at all costs.

Joe attended the University of Maryland and graduated from St. Joseph's University with a degree in Business Administration and Management. Joe brought his heart and drive into every professional challenge. Whether working in agencies, sales teams, startups, or his own company (Little Blue Bird Stables), Joe led with empathy and loyalty, but also with a sense of humor. Among his many professional achievements, founding Little Blue Bird Stables was the pinnacle. What began as a shared dream among horse racing enthusiasts on Twitter blossomed into a venerable organization that gave everyday fans access to thoroughbred ownership. Under Joe's leadership, LBB Stables became more than just a business-it became a community. He often quoted: "People don't buy what you do; they buy why you do it."

Joe's love for people extended far beyond his work. He was a devoted husband to Kaleigh Tartaglia and a proud father to his two sons, Andrew and Lucas. Watching them play baseball brought him immense joy-he rarely missed a game and cheered them on with pride and enthusiasm. He also cherished time spent at the racetrack with his LBB family.

He is also remembered by his parents, Michael and Anna Tartaglia; his brothers, Anthony and Michael Tartaglia; and countless others whose lives he touched. Joe had an extraordinary gift for treating everyone like family. He was a loving father, son, Husband, brother, friend, and colleague. Above all, he was a good man.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire the communities he helped build. A Funeral will be held on May 23, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church 4800 Convict Hill Rd!
