Joseph Akeem Webb

Funeral Services for Joseph Akeem Webb are scheduled for Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church with the Pastor M.E. Lyons, I officiating. Interment will follow in the Davis Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Akeem was born to Joseph Calvin Mosley and the late Susan Kay Mosley in Galveston, Texas on April 11, 1986. He was chosen in adoption by his grandparents, Royce and Gloria Webb of Lufkin, Texas where he resided his entire lifetime. Joseph professed in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of Rev. Charles Jeffrey. During this time he participated in the following ministries: Junior Usher, Choir Member and Drill Team Member. Akeem was a graduate of the Lufkin High School Class of 2005. He had been employed by H.E.B. Grocery Store, Sonic Drive Inn and McDonald's. He was a loving, affectionate and out-going individual. Akeem loved his family, especially his mother and father, Gloria and Royce. He also loved Uncle Myron and Aunt Jonell. His favorite pastimes included his telephone conversations, fishing, basketball and he loved his music. On May 12, 2007, Joseph Akeem Webb entered into eternal rest in Lufkin, Texas. Akeem leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Gloria Webb and Royce Webb of Lufkin, Texas and Joseph (Brandy) Mosley of Beaumont, Texas; grandfather, Joe and (Shirley) King of Livingston; brother, Ervin Kareem Jamal of Denver, Colorado; brothers (uncles), Carl (Paulette) King and Myron (Darlene) Mosley of Lufkin and Joe, Jr. (Tammie) King of Houston; sisters (aunts), Beverly Smith of Lufkin and Yvonne Jonell (Joseph) Chambers of Texas City; special friend, Jeanisha LaRaye Bell of Lufkin; a multitude of other relatives and friends.
