Joseph White Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 1, 2024.
Joseph Anthony White, age 51, of Moscow, Idaho, passed away on November 4, 2023. He was born on October 9, 1972.

Joe, as he was affectionately known, was a hardworking family man. He had a kind and funny personality, and despite his gruff exterior, he was a teddy bear to those who knew him well. Joe would go above and beyond to help anyone in his small circle, always willing to lend a hand. His work ethic was unmatched, and he would even go to work with a broken leg if he could. Joe was loyal to a fault, dedicating himself to his job and the people he worked for, even when they didn't reciprocate that loyalty. He had a playful side as well, often engaging in dance-offs with himself when his favorite tunes from the 90s played. No matter the circumstances, Joe would always kiss his wife goodbye, even on the night we tragically lost him. His absence has left an unimaginable void in the lives of those who loved him.

In addition to his loving wife of 20+ years Kirsten, Joe is survived by his mother Kathy, his children Kylie and Aspen ,his 4 grandchildren were the light of Papa's heart and of course his crazy beloved other kids ( doggies) Cruzer and Pearly.

Joe's career was in the roofing and siding industry, where he worked tirelessly as a foreman. He dedicated himself to his craft, becoming a legend in the flat top roofing industry. His hard work and expertise were well-respected by his colleagues and clients alike.

Outside of work, Joe found joy in spending time outdoors. Camping was a favorite pastime for him and his family, allowing them to connect with nature and create lasting memories. He also enjoyed dirt biking and 4-wheeling, embracing the thrill and adventure that came with these activities.

Joseph Anthony White will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of hard work, loyalty, and love will forever be cherished by his family and friends. May he rest in peace.

I think of Joe every time I look at the roof he helped install on our little house and garage. He and Eros worked around their day jobs one summer and removed layers of old roof from the ancient structure. We now have a beautiful, sturdy roof with a portion of the flat roof Joe was an expert in.

We appreciated and loved Joe as our brother-in-law and uncle-hard work, loyalty, love (and an appreciation for good food) describe him so well. The loss of him is heartbreaking and we hope that he has found peace.

The day we said I DO! We are simple peeps and didn't take much to make us happy and I'll never forget that special day.

Joe was always so gentle and kind. He loved his wife and he would buy her things, just to surprise her. He was always fixing things around the house. I talked to him, mostly on the phone. I will miss that.

Joe was a special person in my eyes. I worked with him at SRS for years. He was funny and huggee! He always made me laugh and I had great times with him at work. I will always remember Joe and I'm so sorry for his wife and family going through these very hard times. May your great memories put a smile back in your heart soon!

Our hearts go out to KIrsten and the rest of Joe´s family over his untimely death. His life, like all our lives, had its share of ups and downs, but we are grateful for his enduring devotion to and deep affection for our daughter, Kirsten, along with his children, grandchildren, and mother. His death, as the death of everyone that we have loved and who has loved us, leaves us with deep sadness, but we pray that he may at last rest in peace and that the memory of his devotion and affection may sustain you in the days ahead.

He was one of the most generous people I have known. He helped me mow my lawn when I was pregnant. He always was there when I needed a hand with anything. No questions asked! I am going to miss him.
