Josie "Jo" McNeil Wilson, age 70, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at a nursing home in Burleson. She was born on Oct. 13, 1939, in Kerens to Charlie and Myrtle Warren McNeil.
Mrs. Wilson went to Corsicana High School and attended college at Navarro Junior College in Corsicana where she lived for many years. She and husband, Buddy, moved to Arlington in 1986 where they lived until his death in 1992. She then moved to Fort Worth where she lived for a few years until she was incapacitated by a stroke in 2002 and went to live at Trinity Mission Nursing Home in Burleson.
She was preceded in death by husband of over 30 years, Kenneth Frank "Buddy" Wilson; and a half-sister and brother-in-law, Opal Lee and Wilmer "WD" Hodge.
She is survived by a daughter, Joetta Myers Overstreet of Fort Worth; a stepdaughter and husband, Judy and Richard Kuenstler of Austin; a stepson, David Wilson of Carrollton; a grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Lance Cpl. Byron Myers and Amanda Myers; grandson, Joel Cowen; grandson, Dustin Wilson; and a nephew and his wife, Larry D. and Pam Hodge of Corsicana; and many friends and extended family.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, at Corley Funeral Home. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 11, at Corley Funeral Chapel with Pastor Terry Williams officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Corsicana.
