Blue Ridge Funeral Home Beckley, WV Phone 304-256-8625 Fax 304-256-8636 Josie Thelma Mooney Wilson Josie Thelma Mooney Wilson age 87 beloved mother and grandmother went to be with the Lord and joined her family. She died at her daughter’s home. She was the last remaining member of her family. Born on July 17, 1921 to the late Stynex Lafayette Mooney and the late Narcissus Florence Meadows Mooney. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years James Fred Wilson; four brothers Ellis Wilson Mooney, George Washington Mooney, Okey Ray Mooney, Thomas Mooney; three sisters Nancy Emily Sneed, Stacy Elvy Hylton, Laurie Mooney; two son-in laws James L. Lilly and Charles L. Patton; one daughter-in-law Gracie I. Wilson. She loved quilting, crocheting and gardening. She was of the Baptist faith and often sang in church. Those left to cherish her memory include three sons and three daughters Mary Florence Lilly and family of NC, Nancy Mae Patton and family of TN, and James Stynex Wilson and family of WV, Arlie Lee Wilson of TN, Alice Pearl Mills and family of WV, David Gary Wilson and family of WV; one brother in-law Thomas Arthur Wilson and wife Wanda of WV; one sister-in-law Gracie Bolen; 20 grandchildren, numerous grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter Kiera. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 8, 2008 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may gather with the family Sunday from 6 – 9 PM at the funeral home.
