Joyce J. Bono, age 79, of Liberty Hill, Texas, died Friday, November 13, 2009, in Round Rock, Texas. She was born on January 11, 1930 in Bonham, Texas to Jess and Lura Victory. She was married to Joe W. Bono on February 7, 1947 in Bonham, a marriage which lasted 55 years until his death on August 13, 2002.

She leaves her daughter, Cheryl and husband, Mike Work of Liberty Hill, Texas with whom she had been living; son, Joe S. Bono and wife, Moira of Vancouver, Washington; granddaughters Trisha and husband, Peter Gerdes of Georgetown, Texas and Kelly Bono of Vancouver, Washington; grandson, Jason Bono of Vancouver, Washington; great-grandchildren, Luke and Josie Gerdes of Georgetown, Texas.

She also leaves her brother, B.J. Victory and wife Janice of Grand Prairie, Texas; niece Vicki and husband, Jim Davis of Mansfield, Texas; nephew Greg Victory of Grand Prairie, Texas; great-nephew Chris and wife Lulu Davis of Mansfield.

She has had many dear friends along the years including Charlene Arndt of Sherman, Texas, with whom she share many long hours of phone conversations after her husband's death.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who loved her family dearly.

Family night will be at Cook-Walden Funeral Home in Georgetown on Sunday, November 15, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 o'clock in the evening, with graveside services for the family on Monday, November 16, 2009 starting at 1:00 o'clock in the afternoon at the Liberty Hill Cemetery.

Instead of flowers, donations to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Organization are appreciated.
