Joyce Pass Obituary
Joyce M. Pass, 83, of Owego, NY passed away at home on January 5, 2016. She was born in Johnson City on February 15, 1932 the daughter of the late Jay and Martha (Brougham) Shoultes. She was predeceased by her sister, Marjery Faucett and her brother, Donald Shoultes. She is survived by Richard R. Pass and their children, Jayne Clark, Owego, Rick (Lisa) Pass, South Carolina and Karen (Tom) Alexander, Horseheads; grandchildren, Jeremy Clark, Meggan Pass, Gerry Pass, Katherine Alexander, Jessica Alexander; great-granddaughter, Abigale Clark; step grandson, Brian Beuerman; one brother, Russell Shoultes; several nieces and nephews. Joyce was a lifelong and faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Owego. She served in various positions within the church over the years, all of which were important to her. She worked at the Chamber of Commerce and volunteered at the Waterman Center and the Tioga County Rural Ministry. Joyce also taught line dancing at Tioga Opportunities in Owego. She loved traveling with friends and family on various cruises and trips. Funeral Services will be held at Richards Funeral Home, 3670 Waverly Rd, Owego, NY 13827 on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 11:00am with Rev. Bill Kohler, officiating. Family and friends are invited to call at Richards on Friday, January 8, 2015 from 2:00-4:00pm. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Owego. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Joyce's name to the First Baptist Church, Building Fund, 228 Main Street, Owego, NY 13827. Please share your memories at www.RichardsFH.com.

Joyce was such a wonderful help with her volunteer efforts at Tioga Opportunities and Waterman Center! We worked together on projects at TOI and the Bingo at Waterman and had fun doing it. I'll miss her very much. Sincere condolences to the friends and family. Rest in peace, Joyce.

Joyce and I worked together at Rural Ministry on Wednesdy mornings where we became close friends. She was always there for me through difficult times and prayed for me and my family.
She was such a kind and compassionate women and I will truly miss our friendship!

I was privileged to work with Joyce at a local dental office years ago, and also knew her through an organization to which we both belonged. She was truly an amazing lady! We send our condolences to all those who mourn her passing.

My sincerest sympathies to all Joyce's family and loved ones. We were all blessed to know her compassion and her caring. Her family- she loved you all so much, spoke of you all so often with joy and pride, lifted you in prayer when the pages of your lives were turning. Joyce - A unique balance of blatant candor, compassion, and sincerity. She will be sorely missed at FBO, for her heart & her willingness to share and to be involved and committed. While working at the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce, Joyce and I became great friends. She was a blessing to me in many ways, helping with work and sharing her faith. We often prayed together about problems and issues we were facing at work. She will be missed.
