Judith Griffin Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 16, 2025.
Judith Lynn Griffin passed away on April 9, 2025 at the age of 83 from complications with pneumonia. She spent her last week with her husband Greg on a Caribbean cruise. She passed away shortly after her return. She was surrounded by her daughters and husband when she passed. She is survived by her husband Greg Haller; her four daughters (and son-in laws): Jennifer (Brad) Walker, Jeanne (Mike) Griffin, Julie (Jason) Garside, and Jill (Mark) Eilers; her eight grand-children: Josh, Paige, and Sarah Walker, Sam, Nick, and Jake Eilers, Max and Cole Garside; her brother Robert Baldi. She is predeceased by her parents Frank and Doris Baldi. Judi was born on March 17, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to Frank and Doris Baldi, the oldest of their two children.

Judi was born and raised in Chicago. She moved to Colorado in September 1966 with her young family to lay down roots and fulfill a dream to live near the mountains. She and her husband Greg moved to Mesquite, Nevada for a short time, but their fondness for Colorado brought them back to Colorado Springs where she resided until her passing.

Professionally, Judi was a skilled and experienced travel agent with many loyal clients who trusted her with their travel plans for many years. She loved the work and the extensive travel it allowed her. She visited many different countries throughout the world and had an abundance of knowledge about the culture and history of these places.

Judi was active and adventurous all of her life. She loved roller coasters and fireworks. She was an avid downhill skier, hiker, and tennis player. She passed her love for the outdoors to her daughters by exposing them to so many sports. She also loved the arts and shared this passion with her daughters, frequently visiting museums, art galleries, and the theater. She was quite creative herself, even picking up oil painting in the year before she died and proved to be quite talented. She loved reading and enjoyed her book club which she was a member until her passing. She enjoyed discussing books and sharing reading suggestions with her daughters.

Her biggest joy was family. She was present and engaged from the time both her children and grandchildren were born; she cherished her time with them. With four daughters and eight grandchildren, she attended countless school events, sporting events, and graduations. She especially loved having the whole family together for the holidays; she was a gracious host, an excellent cook and always had her home festively decorated. Judi will be remembered for her unwavering service to others and as the best mom, grandma, and wife anyone could ask for. She will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be held August 3, 2025, from 12:30-3:30 PM with a memorial service and lunch to follow at the Flying Horse Resort, 1880 Weiskopf Point, Colorado Springs.

I have so many fond memories of Judi, working together with her at the travel agency, and she guided me through many difficult reservations that I was working on. The pictures of all of you together are beautiful, she will be missed terribly by so many.
