DENVER, CO --- Judith “Judy” Ann Pagano, 66, passed away June 29, 2018, with close friends by her side at her home in Denver, Colorado, after a long illness.
Born Jan. 31, 1952 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Burton and Elizabeth (Purner) Pagano.
Judy graduated from Queensbury High School Class of 1971.
She worked as a small estate manager, Nanny to several children in Denver, as well as caretaker to many family dogs. Judy loved to cook and had a small catering service before she became ill. Everyone who knew her remembers Judy as a girl that loved having a good time. In fact, her favorite saying was “We’re here for a good time, not a long time.” Judy loved to come home and visit her mom and large family of aunts and uncles and cousins. She especially loved to visit her Aunt Mary and Uncle Ron’s Lake House at Moffitt Beach near Speculator.
In addition to her father, Burton Pagano, who passed away Aug. 11, 1968, Judy was predeceased by a cousin, Diane Purner Manns; four uncles, Walter, Dick, Tom, and Bill Purner; and aunts, Helen and Jean Purner.
Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved mother, Elizabeth Purner Pagano of Queensbury; a half-brother, Brock (Marge) Johnson of Wilton; Aunts, Mary (Ron) Kexel, Pat Purner, Arline Purner, and special friend, Janice Niemer; uncles, Ron, Paul (Diane), Raymond (Priscilla), and Frank (Anne) Purner; nephews, Dan and Greg Johnson; also, many cousins, especially a special cousin Donna St. John.
A graveside service will take place Friday, August 17, at 11 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Cemetery in West Glens Falls.
Friends are invited to join the family to continue the celebration of Judy’s life, after the interment, at The West Glens Falls Firehouse.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to her Queensbury High School friends Vicki VanSittert, now residing in Colorado, and Debby Dumas DeMers, now residing in Georgia, for being with her in her last days. Also, a special thanks to Ronda Sewald, who resides in Texas and her first friend who she met after arriving in Colorado 40 years ago, Anne Perret.
Condolences may be sent directly to Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804, or through www.bakerfuneralhome.com.

Judy was my childhood friend. I lived down the street from her on Knight Street and visited her when she moved to another part of Glens Falls. We had great adventures. I always remember her miniature beagle, such a cutie. We lost touch when we went to different high schools, but I kept track of her whereabouts through her Aunt. Have great memories of her being full of fun and energy. So sad to hear she has passed.
