Judith McGrath

Judith Ann "Judy" McGrath (née McGill) passed away peacefully on March 25, 2025, in Farmington Hills, Michigan, at the age of 88.

Judy was the loving wife of the late Roger Dixon McGrath and devoted mother to Elizabeth McGrath-Baker, Jeffrey McGrath (Linda), James McGrath, Gregory McGrath, and Julie McGrath-Stout. Affectionately known as Mimi, Judy cherished her grandchildren: Maegan (Eric) Christensen, Ashley (Brad) Beilfuss, Kyle (Therese) McGrath, Brett (Erin) McGrath, Kaylee (Kevin) Wilson, Taylor McGrath, Colin McGrath, Keegan McGrath, Molly McGrath, Liam McGrath, Caeden Stout, and Peyton Stout. She also held a special place in her heart for her great-grandchildren: Lucy Beilfuss, Camden Christensen, Reese Christensen, Bennett Beilfuss, Blake McGrath, and Noa Wilson.

Judy is fondly remembered by her siblings-in-law Dennis McGrath; Marty McGrath (Kathy); Maureen McGrath; Joanne McGrath; Shelly Pilon (Larry); and Jody McGill. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Roger; her parents Charles and Loretta McGill; her siblings Patricia McGill and Charles McGill; her in-laws Roger and Genevieve McGrath; brother-in-law Fred McGrath; and sisters-in-law Judy McGrath and Sue McGrath.

Born on June 24, 1936, Judy grew up in Detroit and graduated from Immaculata High School. Judy was all heart. Engaging, warm, and loving. In all her relationships, Judy had a ready smile and the gift of exuding immediate warmth, authenticity, and charm. Her positivity was a shining example for all. She adored spending time with her large family and friends. Judy left a lasting impression on all who encountered her.

A Memorial Mass and Celebration of Life will be held in early summer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judy's memory to Gateway Home Care at Halstead Place in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
