Judy Garnett Wingfield, 68, of Madison Heights, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born June 6, 1945 in Farmville, she was a daughter of the late Lewis Edward Garnett and Geraldine Garnett Hall.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Fred C. Wingfield of Madison Heights; one daughter, Geri Wingfield Wilson and her husband Troy of Kannapolis, NC; one son, Keith Wingfield and his wife Sena of Lexington; one brother, Lewis Edward Garnett, Jr. and his wife Carol of Madison Heights and seven grandchildren, Nathan, Daniel, Jacob, Savannah, Summer, Corey and Taylor Grace.

Judy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was a long time member of Randolph Memorial Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. today, December 31, 2013 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Dr. Derik Hamby officiating. Interment will follow in Briarwood Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
