Judy Linder/Long Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Sep. 9 to Sep. 12, 2022.
Judy Ann Linder Long of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on September 1, 2022, at the age of 74, at home, with her family around her. She was born in Moline, Illinois, on December 1, 1947, the daughter of Thomas Milton Linder and Lura Marie StClair.

Judy loved waitressing, painting pictures, sewing, going to the casino, and spending time with her family and friends. July 4th was her favorite holiday.

Some fun memories and facts about her life, she loved purses & she could never have enough. Judy and her daughter Dawn shared a great fondness for Eeyore. She loved Dairy queen Banana Splits & strawberry shakes. Judy was the manager of Earl Scheib Paint & Body Shop, & her son Dan was 14 years old at the time, he remembers her throwing him the keys to a car that had just been painted to move the car, he ran it into a wall and todays enjoys the laughter of the memory. Her niece Kim recalls going to Metro Center Mall with Kellie, Judy told Kim that Kellie was not to drive her car, they went around the corner and Kim then let Kellie drive, Kellie's adds as she was driving to the mall she accidentally got onto the freeway. John Peters grew up with Judy and remembers her for writing him letters often when he went into the army in 1968 through1971 and helped him through the difficult time of being gone from home. Judy's brother-in-law Floyd one of his many memories is her smile and laughter as Elvis sang to her at his birthday party.

One of Judy's favorites for dinner was her son- in- law Tim's Quesadilla Burger. She said she never remembered having a birthday party so for her 73rd birthday she had her first Birthday party. Her last Christmas she received a new sewing machine from her daughter & family, which took her and two of her grandchildren an hour to open due to tape and wrapping paper. Both events brought many smiles to Judy along with laughter & great memories. With the conveniences of cell phones and video chats she enjoyed getting to talk with her children more often. Judy enjoyed helping care for her grandchildren which helped keep her young and up to date. Judy touched the lives of many with her kindness & love.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Kenneth Long.

She is survived by her brothers; Tom Linder JR. of Peoria, AZ, and Roger Linder of Lincoln City, OR, and her sisters; Veronica Dalton and Mary Cooper of Glendale, AZ; and Bonnie Floyd of Phoenix, AZ; her children; sons, Ronald Lee of Sun City, AZ; Daniel Ramey of Weatherford, Texas; Joseph Smith of Sierra Vista, AZ; Dan Long of Mesa AZ; and daughters; Dawn Ramey of Dover, TN and Kellie Wells of Tucson, AZ; 23 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

Please join us in celebrating her life Saturday afternoon, October 1, 2022, at noon at the home of her niece, Kimberly Pilling, and sister, Mary Cooper, at their residence at 5023 N. 78th Ave, Glendale Arizona 85303.
