Judy Scott Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 1, 2024.
Judith "Judy" Scott (DeCarlo), aged 76, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed from this life to her heavenly home on April 20, 2024. Born on November 4, 1947, in Miami, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Sebastian "Buz" DeCarlo and Madelyn "Lee" DeCarlo.
A 1969 graduate of Western Carolina University, Judy devoted the majority of her life to raising her children. She later went back and earned a Master's in Library Science. She returned to education as a librarian at Stanton College Prep and Providence School of Jacksonville, where she was esteemed by colleagues and students alike.
Judy's existence was a testament to her profound faith and the joy she found in selflessly serving others, always considering herself second to those around her. Her church home was The Church of Eleven22, where she was on the Serve Team. Judy was devoted to her lady's Bible Study for many years and treasured those relationships. She was a faithful friend who let her love for the Lord shine.
Judy loved a card game, board games and trivia. A quick wit, who loved to laugh. She also enjoyed cooking and entertaining guests, creating countless cherished memories for her family and friends and making each one feel special.
She leaves behind her husband, Chuck; her daughter, Brooke (Danny) Schudlich; her sons, David (Maria) and Carr (Ashley); her brother, Frank (Sande) DeCarlo; her beloved grandchildren, Abram Scott, Maylee Schudlich, Ethan Scott, Lexie Schudlich, and Bella Scott and many special and beloved family and friends.
A service to commemorate Judy's life will be held at The Church of Eleven22--San Pablo Campus on May 18th at 2pm.
Judy's enduring spirit of compassion will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will be treasured and kept alive in the hearts of her loved ones.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Judy's name to Wounded Warriors, Samaritans' Purse or The Church of Eleven22.

When Judy and Chuck lived in Shreveport, we were blessed to be in a small group with them. She and Chuck were so kind and hospitable. They had enduring impact on our lives even though it was only for less than a year.
