Julia “Julie” Mary Middleton, age 63, of Hobart passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday November 16, 2022, at her home. Julie was born February 1, 1959, in Gary, Indiana to the late Ronald and Virginia (Blount) Guernsey. She was a forklift operator that worked for the Ford Motor Company. She loved fishing, bowling, and work. Most of all she loved her dog Cagney. Julie was a member of UAW Local 551 Chicago Assembly. She was loved by many that she worked with.
She is survived by her two children, Ryan (Wendy Chavez) Pope of Lake Station and Julia Mary (Connie) Moncada of Wanatah; two grandchildren, Iris Lopez and Ryan Pope, Jr.; a brother and two sisters, Ronald (Vera) Guernsey of Hobart, Monica (Tom) Groszewski of Hobart, Trudi (Tom) Komas of Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Middleton; her parents; and one sister Terri Guernsey.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon Tuesday November 22, 2022. Her Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon Tuesday at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342 with Rev. Dominic V. Bertino officiating. Burial will follow in St. John and St. Joseph Cemetery in Hammond.
