Julianna EKES Obituary
May 7, 1926 - June 30, 2012
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our much loved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Julie. Mom was predeceased by her husband Rudolph in 1993; parents Karl and Evelyn Lesko; siblings and their spouses Carrie (Wally) Henry, Ed (Gwen) Lesko and Betty Zalopski. Left to honour and cherish her memory are sons Mervin (Debbie), Ken, Wayne; daughters Jane (Murray) Achen, Sharon (Gord) Hoffart, Debbie (Joe) Kuntz; grandchildren Megan Ekes, Mikel Ekes, Andrea (Brian) Legien, Stephanie Ekes, Amanda (Carlos) Amaral, Chris (Kristy) Achen, Shalon (Chris) Kwas, Jerett Hoffart, Jordan (Paola) Hoffart, Josh Hoffart, Jeremy (Jaclyn) Kuntz, Matthew Kuntz, Justine (Brandon) Procyshen; great grandchildren Tyler and Kate Amaral, Skylar and Izabella Hunt, Beckett Achen, Alexa and Caden Kwas, Kylie Kuntz, and soon to be baby Procyshen. Mom is also survived by her loving sisters Frieda (Bill) Miesner of Calgary AB, Mary Patrick of Esterhazy SK, Ann (Mev) Schuster of Regina SK; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A special heart felt thank you to Mom's closest and dearest friend Lil Temple for always looking out for Mom, and to her extended family and friends at Heritage Place. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at the Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK, on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to sign the online obituary and tributes page at www.regina-memorial.ca. So many cherished memories of aunty Julie. How does one begin to list them all. A kind and loving lady who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Grandma, There are many life lessons that you taught me when I was young. None more important than that of unrestricted love and respect for those that you are blessed to have in your life. Thank you! You always held loved ones - family and friends alike - tightly in your heart and you will be FOREVER embedded in mine!!! I will do my very best to honor this lesson each and everyday. Although deeply saddened, my family knows that you were granted the peace that you so greatly deserve. I send condolences to anyone that had the opportunity to have been loved by you.
