Published by Legacy Remembers from Jul. 3 to Jul. 10, 2016.
Julie Ann Cook
January 24, 1992 - July 1, 2016
Julie Ann Cook, 24, passed away on July 1, 2016, north of Preston, Idaho, from injuries sustained in a tragic car accident. She was born on January 24, 1992, in Logan, Utah, to James and Debra Morgan Cook. She grew up in Providence and graduated from Mountain Crest in 2010. After high school, she attended Utah State University where she received a bachelor's degree in management information systems with a minor in computer science. She then began her work at Goldman Sachs in Salt Lake City where she loved her colleagues and the work.
Julie's easy smile and contagious laugh made everyone feel special and loved. Her genuine joy for life and passion for learning not only drove her to travel across the globe but also caused her to develop deep connections with virtually everyone she met. Julie's uniquely bubbly energy endeared her to all who had opportunity to know her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, J. Blaine and Lucille Cook; aunt Lois Cook; uncle Stephen Morgan; her mother's grandparents, LeRoy and Naomi Hirschi and Evan and Lela Morgan; and her father's grandparents, Ray S. and Lucy Thurman and Charles R. and Hazel Cook.
She is survived by her parents, James and Debra Cook; siblings Blaine, Tyler (Brittaney), and Destiny (Jaden) Miller; grandparents Neil and LaNae Morgan; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her Rohan Roy.
Funeral services are pending (depending on James's release from the Pocatello hospital) and will be announced in a future edition of the paper. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nyman Funeral Home. Condolences and memories can be shared with the family online at www.NymanFH.com

As a faculty member in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, where she worked as a receptionist, I had the opportunity of work with Julie for a couple of years. She had such a bubbly personality and her joy was absolutely contagious. My heart broke when I heard the news of her passing. She will be sorely missed. Rest in peace, sweet Julie.

I am so sorry. I have no meaningful words for my sadness at your loss. I remember Julie as the loveliest young woman who would make any set of parents proud to have her. She was just a very good person. All my love and prayers to you.
