Forstmann Leff was the first company I worked for after graduating from college. Mr. Forstmann was always gracious to me even though I was just starting out in the business world. I was always impressed by him and I always admired him. Over the years I have thought about him often.

It was a great pleasure and privilege to have had Tony as one of my dear friends. I shall be eternally grateful for his mentorship and generosity with his time and resources. Tony was larger than life, complex, so very intelligent and creative. I find comfort in his passing, as others that knew him well do, by so many fond memories and business lessons that will yield dividends during my remaining time. For those of us that believe, and Tony did, we shall meet again, get some rest.

Tony was a great friend and mentor for the 30+ years I knew him. He was one of the most financially astute and creative people I knew. I used to hang on the stories he and his BelAire buddy Don Klosterman would tell. I will miss him
