Julius Rizzo

Julius Joseph "Jules" Rizzo, 89, passed away on January 9, 2025, in Palm Coast, Florida. Born on October 21, 1935, in Hartford, Connecticut, he lived a life marked by dedication to family, hard work, and an enduring love for the simple joys of life.

Jules proudly served in both the Air National Guard and the United States Air Force. His commitment to service was a reflection of his steadfast nature-one that carried through every aspect of his life. In 1969, he moved from Connecticut to South Florida, where he laid down new roots and built a future for his family. Just two years later, in 1971, he founded Ace Pool Service, a business that continues to operate today as a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and determination.

Above all else, Jules was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He shared 66 wonderful years with his beloved wife Loretta. Together, they raised two children: their son Joseph Julius Rizzo and their daughter DeEtt Marie Ives with her husband Neale Ives. His greatest joy came from spending time with his three cherished grandsons-Joseph Jacob Rizzo, Thomas Julius Rizzo, and Marshall James Ives-whom he adored beyond measure.

Jules had an easy-going spirit and a generous heart; his home was always open to friends and family. He found happiness in life's simple pleasures traveling to new places, cooking delicious meals, boating along the water, and enjoying the beach in both Westbrook, Connecticut, and Flagler Beach, Florida. He loved entertaining loved ones with good food and laughter while country music played in the background or a classic western film flickered on the screen. A true craftsman at heart, he enjoyed tinkering in his garages and embracing his Italian heritage with pride. His faithful cat Nunzio was always by his side.

Jules was predeceased by his parents Ceasar and Angelina (Muscatello) Rizzo but leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through those who knew him best. His warmth and generosity touched many lives, and his memory will be forever cherished.
