June Knowles Obituary

Published by Vancouver Sun and/or The Province on Oct. 1, 2016.
June Marguerite Knowles (Bell) June 5, 1928 - Sept 21, 2016. Passed away peacefully in hospital on September 21, 2016 at the age of 88. Marguerite loved adventure, travel, golf, her family and her husband Maurice Knowles who predeceased her by 6 months. She was raised in the Central Park area of Burnaby, the daughter of Charles Clare and Jessie Bell and is survived by her brother Donald, sister Jean (Price) and her 4 sons, Richard, Gordon, Curtis and Ross Montgomery from her previous marriage to Robert (Bob) Montgomery. Further marriages to Jack Taber, Malcom McInnes and her beloved Maurice brought together the joined families which brought great joy to her life. She never shied from the spotlight until her last months, when her health deteriorated and her quality of life was poor. She will be sorely missed by all those left to remember her. A celebration of life will be held (family and friends invited), on October 16 at Sunnyside hall in Bakerview park 1845 - 154th st, Surrey B.C. from 3-6 PM.

I will miss Marguerite very much and her kind and caring ways. I enjoyed our years together in the Osteoporosis group and then all the wonderful lunches we had together. She was a true "lady" and took great pride in her appearance. It won't be the same without her.
