June Tretchler Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 7, 2025.
June K "Karen" Tretchler, age 81, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, in Clinton Township, Michigan. Born on June 18, 1944, in Wyandotte, Michigan, she lived a life marked by deep devotion to her family and a generous spirit that touched all who knew her.

Karen was the beloved wife of Charles Tretchler, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage-a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Together they raised three sons: John (Shawn) Tretchler, Matthew (Chrissy) Tretchler, and Steven Tretchler. Her legacy continues through her seven cherished grandchildren-Timothy, Shannon, Hannah, Kyle, Ben, Zach, and Harmony-and numerous great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudyard and Irene Ely, as well as her sisters Arlene and Barbara. Though their absence was deeply felt throughout her life, Karen carried their memory with grace and strength.

Known for her unwavering kindness and compassion, Karen was a devoted wife, mother, nana, aunt, and friend. She had an innate ability to make others feel loved and understood. Whether offering a helping hand or a listening ear, she was always among the first to step forward when someone needed support.

Her warmth extended beyond family ties; those fortunate enough to know Karen were met with open arms and a heart full of empathy. Her home was often a place of comfort for many-a reflection of the love she so freely gave.

Karen's passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who loved her. Yet her spirit endures in the countless memories shared by family and friends alike.

May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
