Kaliopi Sicalis, lovingly known as Popi, passed away on January 14, 2024, at the age of 86 in Boston, MA. She was born on March 3, 1937, in Athens, Greece. Popi was a devoted and selfless woman who always put her family first. Her heart overflowed with warmth and love, and she had a knack for expressing her thoughts with honesty.

Popi will be remembered for her kind and affectionate nature, and her impact on her family, and friends will be cherished and celebrated. She leaves behind an enduring legacy of love that will forever be treasured.

Popi Sicalis is survived by her brother, Andreas Kariotis, and sister-in-law, Louise Kariotis. She is also survived by her stepson George Sicalis, stepdaughter, Helen Georgakopoulos, and step granddaughter, Nina Georgakopoulos. Popi was a beloved aunt to her nephews, Stefanos Kariotis, Anthony Kariotis, and Jason Kariotis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles-Constantinos Sicalis, who she now joins in eternal rest.

In her professional life, Popi was an exceptional seamstress. She had a talent for creating beautiful garments and frequently made clothes for her family, from formal gowns to dresses and men's/boys' clothing. She was highly sought after for her expertise in creating Greek Orthodox Priest garments, which she meticulously tailored according to Orthodox traditions.

Popi found solace and strength in her faith and was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Boston, MA, where she worshipped.

Services to celebrate Popi's life will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 10:00 am at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Boston. Burial services will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Jamaica Plain. Family and friends are invited to attend and pay their respects.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Popi's memory.
