GREENSBORO —Karen Leigh Hutchens Crozier, 61, died on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Covenant Church United Methodist in High Point, NC. Interment will follow at Westminster Gardens in Greensboro.
Karen was born to Mildred Lee Tucker Hutchens and William Green Hutchens on October, 1950. She was a graduate of High Point Central High School, Class of 1968, and attended The University of North Carolina at Greensboro's School of Nursing, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1972.
She was employed by Wesley Long Hospital and Humana Hospital prior to joining the staff of Greensboro Ear, Nose, and Throat & Associates, where she worked from 1979-2006. She later worked at Target Pharmacy from 2007 to 2008.
Karen was loyal and loving, always caring for and placing those in her life before herself. She worked tirelessly and selflessly to provide for her family and her friends, making a lasting impact on all those fortunate enough to call her a friend. She had a special love for animals, never ceasing to find one that she did not want to take home to care for.
Karen met the love of her life, Jim, marrying him October 4, 1978. They were married 34 years, and shared many wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. On June 8, 1983 their son, Adam, was born. Karen loved Adam more than anything in the world, working hard to provide the type of life for him that she was unable to have as a child.
Karen is survived by her husband, Jim, of the home: son, Adam, and his girlfriend, Lindsey A. Morris, of Jamestown, NC; sister Kathy Collins, and her husband, Darrell, of Kernersville, NC; sister-in-law, Beverly Sheppard, of High Point, NC; niece Katie Morgan, and her husband, Josh of High Point, NC; niece Kellie Collins, of Kernersville, NC; and her beloved dogs, Babe and Fred.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Hutchens and Mildred Hutchins; grandparents, William "PePaw" Seigler and Evelyn "MeMaw" Seigler; and dogs Mickey, Yogi, and Casey.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Forbis and Dick Guilford Chapel, 5926 W. Friendly Ave., Greensboro, NC 27410.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Guilford County Animal Shelter, 4525 West Wendover Ave., Greensboro, NC 27409.

Jim, Adam and Family, much sadness is felt by many with Karen's passing. I loved working with her at Greensboro Head and Neck with our sons growing up "together". Be blessed with beautiful memories and God's love lessen your pain. Betty Noah
