A Fallen Limb
A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, “Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song. The good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls. I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin. Until the day comes we’re together again.”

It’s true life does take us in different directions sometimes. But it is also true I never had a friend as good as you. I also never had a friend’s family take me in as one of their own. I love you and your family. I can only hope we can get together on the other side.

A poem for AKT
My heart is broken.
I grieve for one more day.
I listen to music,
hearing the songs we played.
The instruments and words
fill me
as I sway all day long.
Watching you Dance so happily,
the good vibes shine so bright .
Being together and having fun was such a delight.
So much Laughter we shared,
Well into the night.
I cherish all the memories.
And with just one thought they will always ignite.
Your spirit will live inside me,
As your soul flies high.
With Angles wings,
I watch you glide.
RIP my favorite Aunt KT! I LOVE YOU!

There were so many good times we shared. She always brought her love to every living thing she would encounter. She never asked for much, and she always gave all she had. I'm so glad we got to spend so many years together.
