Quite a shock - I wasn't able to contact her for awhile no matter how I tried. Many heartfelt condolences to her family members and close friends in Maryland and North Carolina. Karen was a very, very sweet person and will be missed deeply.

Karen and I were especially close when she was in Maryland and we were living close to each other. We didn't talk often but we always talked when there was something going on with either of us. I love Karen and will miss her. Love and Hugs to all of you missing our precious Karen!

I am so truly sorry to hear of Karen's passing. I have many fond memories of Karen stretching back from elementary, through jr. high and high school. She was always wonderful about getting in touch whenever she would be in Maryland and we would get together to catch up and I am blessed I was able to see her a few years ago. Karen was very proud of her family and loved them deeply. She cherished her many friendships as well. Karen was such a warm and kind soul with a beautiful smile that lit up a room. Her family has my deepest condolences. I will never forget Karen and will miss her friendship. May she rest in heavenly peace.

Karen was my cousin and we lived in Olney Md while she and siblings lived in no too far away. One of my fondest memories of her was when she bought her first car and drove us to Roy Rogers. It was liberating not to be in the family truckster with Dad at the wheel and instead having cool cousin Karen cranking out mid 70´s rock & roll!! RIP Cool Cuz!

I am so sorry to hear of Karen´s passing. I met Karen in 9th grade when I moved to Maryland from across the country. She was the one person who made my transition bearable, she welcomed me with a smile and her vibrant personality! Karen could make friends with anyone and I smile just thinking about it. I will miss her terribly, she was a beautiful person to know

As one of the Maryland cousins, my earliest and fondest memories of Karen are at Aunt Buddy´s family picnics. Writing letters to each other as teenagers, followed by weddings and children, we remained in touch. Karen was good about reaching out when she was in my neck of the woods so we could meet for lunch and catch up. My heartfelt condolences to her children and grandchildren who gave her tremendous pride. They were the joy of her life. God rest her precious soul.

A limb has fallen from the Family Tree that says "Grieve not for me"
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song. The Good Life I lived when I was strong.
My sincere condolences and love to all of you.

My sister Karen greatly enjoyed taking me on tours of her favorite places, especially those places that calmed and centered her. Wether it was watching planes take off and land CLT airport, sitting at a nearby pond to enjoy the turtles or the peace provided by sitting in a church when nobody was there, she always sought out places to peacefully enjoy living.

I am grateful for my sister Karen´s zeal for hosting me whenever I visited her and family in Maryland and North Carolina. She always knew places see on these visits.

I am so sorry for the entire family's loss. As a neighbor she always was friendly and had a "hello" for me. She had such a sweet smile and bubbly personality.
