Karen, you are truly missed. I have many memories I can share about you. But an everlasting memory and laughable moment I will always carry with me is how you started my locs journey almost 20 years ago. I remember how you and the Godfather met. I can truly say, you loved my uncle unconditionally and I thank you.
In my heart, I know the 2 of you are together again. I'm sure by now he have stuck a nerve and you have cursed him out. If only I could hear you say Sugar Lump Lump again. I pray that your soul is at rest. Until we meet again....

My favorite memory of Karen is how deeply and sincerely she laughed when Rose told her after she had an operation on her leg: "Karen, you still got your cuddie and your booty!" This was characteristic of Karen, to always fully enjoy and show deep appreciation and gratitude for all life.

To know "Big Baby" ( that´s what I call her) is to LOVE ..... her! God knew what he was doing when he put me in your life! The next thing to having a daughter without giving birth. She was a grown lady in the "flesh" , but had a spirit of a baby ! If you ever met Karen, you would NEVER forget her. She was not deaf or blind, she couldn´t walk nor talk , but had her own way of getting your attention and making you understand her wants and needs. She would always be the loudest in the room and that´s one of the things that I´m going to miss the most! I love you so ..... much!!

This memory is one of my favorites her birthday and she was all made and jazzy in my mom´s voice JAZZY. Growing up with Karen aka Carolyn I didn´t realize her name was KAREN until we got school age.... Those were the good ole days with our mamas and grandmas dancing and frying fish and socializing.
