To the Cooper family, I was 'googling' for Kari yesterday and was shocked to find that she had passed a year to the day ago. I knew Kari at SRB and through the first two years of University. Everyone mentions the smile, that beaming grin, it was wonderful. I am very saddened by your loss.

Eric, Kate and Ben.My deepest sympathy is with you. I am shocked and very saddened by this tragedy. Kari was a beautiful person inside and out. I will always remember her with her beautiful smile. Mikayla kept secret this sad news from me, since I was mourning for a tragic and sudden loss of a loved one in my family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Our thoughts and prayers go to you all (Eric, Katie, Ben, John, Mary Anne, Brock and Sandra). We are absolutely shocked and find it so hard to believe that someone as beautiful, healthy and vibrant as Kari is gone so quickly and so young.
I will always remember when Mom (Lashley) and Don were married, that night at the wedding supper, Kari came to me and told me how happy she was for them and she welcomed us all into the family. Our family had many opportunities at the lake to get to know Kari, Eric and the kids.
I feel blessed that I spent some time with Kari on June 5, but had I known I would have gave her a much longer hug! She touched me with her spirit.
Rest in peace dear step-niece.
God be with you all,
Sherri, Pierre and family

On behalf of the Wilson Brothers, we are beyond shocked and immensely saddened to hear of Kari's passing. Our condolences to Kari's family.
Even though we had not seen Kari much over the years, we'll remember a good friend who was always positive and quick with a big smile.
I recall many years ago she had a friend who had moved away. One of their favourite songs was "Ruby Tuesday." Being boys, we brothers and our cousins sang it over and over to tease her. Eventually she just smiled -I think it reminded her of her friend and made her feel good. To me, that was Kari.
We'll spin that track for you a few times this summer up at Chrisite, Kari. God Bless, and may Eric, Kate and Ben, and the rest of your loved ones, find comfort in this inexplicable time of grief.

As was evident at her memorial service yesterday, Kari is very much loved and widely respected. It was wonderful to see so many youth, and to those of you who stood and said what is in your hearts, well ... she would be very proud of you, as we all are.
To Eric, Kate, Ben, Brock, Mary Anne and John, our most heartfelt prayers.

I went to SRB with Kari and she was always warm hearted and so easy to talk with and always had a smile. I can't imagine the difficulty of losing her, my deepest sympathies. It is definitely a small world, finding out now that my nephew and her daughter are great friends. We never put it together in our conversations in the parking lot at Loblaws where I would run into her, I wish we had. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

I had the pleasure of working along side Kari at Roland Michener School. Her zeal for helping kids learn English as their first language was a clear joy. Her enthusiasm and curiousity about gaining and applying best practices never ceased. The OCDSB has lost a marvelous, beautiful teacher and remarkable person. I miss you, Kari, and will always remember you.

Kari was a special person who gave so much of herself. During her time at Roland Michener, we often had to send her home because she was still at school at 2:00 and her day really ended at 10:30. Her response to that was always "Well I have so much to do to help the kids". She touched so many of those kids with her caring nature and warm smile. Heaven has another angel ... yet, she will be missed on Earth.

Kari, for all the hours we spent together running and sharing, your most proud conversations were always around your family. Anyone who knew you could see how important and central they were in your life.

I truly feel blessed for having known Kari for the past years, and for all the laughs, memories and inspiration she provided. I will treasure every one of them, and I will smile every time I think of her, as she would want me to.

Dear Eric, Kate, Ben and family,
I am not sure that I can truly wrap my head around any of this.It seems so cruel and unjust. She was definitely one the kindest most selfless person that I know. I will remember her always, not only her kindness but her strength, her character, her optimism and her perseverance. May she live on in all of our own good deeds and zest for life.
Our thoughts are with you Eric as well as all of her family.
