Karissa Faith Phares, 34, of Dawsonville, Georgia, passed away on June 6, 2024. She was born on June 20, 1989, in Atlanta, Georgia. Karissa is remembered as a beacon of light and love, especially towards children. Her natural ability to be a nurturing and kind mother figure extended to everyone she met. She was a fierce mother to her son, and loved him more than anything. Despite facing life's challenges, Karissa maintained an unwavering optimism that was truly infectious. She will be deeply missed by family and friends alike.

Life took us other places but you were and will always be my favorite cousin. From church camps, to princesses in the wall, to sleepovers..these are just a few of the many memories I will keep forever. I love you so much Karissa!!!!!!!!!!

We met at a church meeting. And we had a amazing bond. Anytime you seen her she was smiling no matter what she was facing she always smiled. And the thing that she always talked about was her son. She will greatly be missed .
