I will remember Karl as the most wonderful father-in law a person could have. I was embraced into this family 18 years ago. Not only was I welcomed with open arms, but my son was as well. At my son's wedding, the photgrapher was confused a little by so many sets of grandparents. I told him that Nick was a very lucky person to have 3 grandfathers.

Through these last months, we were comforted in our thoughts that Karl was much loved and we knew the feelings were mutual. I love you, Dad.

Love, Darlene

Dear Family,

Please know that our thoughts, love, and prayers are with you always and may God keep you in his loving arms and send you peace.

Perhaps they are not stars

But openings in heaven

Where the love of our lost ones

Pours through & shines upon us

To let us know they are happy

They are with us forever...

My deepest sympathy and prayers go to your family.

I "met" Karl only through email by doing genealogical research. We determined that there was a distant relation, but couldn't figure it out. He was friendly and helpful and did indeed have a lovely sense of humor. I am sure he will be greatly missed.
