She was born July 7, 1953 in Natrona Heights to Leroy and Patricia (Younkins) Booher. Mrs. Freehling was an extruder operator at Du-Co Ceramics, Saxonburg for 26 years. She was the past president of the Sarah A. Crawford Auxiliary 43 of the Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War. She was a member of the Reindeer Owners and Breekers Association, and along with her husband, founded the Black Forest Reindeer. She enjoyed stained glass crafts and gardening. Survivors include her husband of 17 years, Bryan C. Freehling; one son, Michael Hawk of West Sunbury; and her parents of Sarver. She was preceded in death by one brother, Gregory Booher. FREEHLING ? Friends of Katherine Marie (Booher) Freehling, 49, of 205 Leasureville Road, Cabot, who died April 19, 2003, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 p.m. until funeral services at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg with the Rev. Jack Peters of Mount Union Bible Church, West Valley, officiating. The family requests memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Fox.
