Katherine Miller Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 11, 2021.
) Katherine Patricia Miller (Barr), of Noblesville, passed away on April 1, 2021. Katherine demonstrated true dignity and grace through a lengthy illness, always remaining positive and hopeful. Katherine was born in Akron, Ohio on October 11, 1942 to the late James Robert and Margaret Sharon (Miller) Barr. She graduated from St. Vincent High School in 1960 and from Akron University in 1970 after marrying the love of her life, the late Charles L. Miller. Together they raised and are survived by three children, Michele (Mike), Craig (Brenda), and Sharon. Katherine is also survived by four grandchildren, Danielle, Logan, Charles, and Austin and seven siblings, Jim, Denny, Gerri Loog, Mary, Tom, Mike, Vince. Siblings Charlie, Sharon Guevin, and Ralph predeceased her. Elegant and unassuming, Katherine was talented and resourceful, from sewing clothes for family, friends, and even Barbie and Ken dolls to replacing the garbage disposal. As her children approached high school, she went to work at the IRS, took accounting classes, earned promotion to revenue agent, and retired in 2005. Everyone who knew Katherine loved her. She was beautiful, intelligent, thoughtful, responsible, generous, selfless, and possessed an uncommon fortitude. She will be missed by all.
