Kathleen G Chaplin

Kathleen passed away peacefully to the sound of the Boston pops on Christmas morning. She struggled with complications after a stroke in October. She spent her young life caring for her siblings, before beginning her Civil service with the US Airforce. She transferred from Wright Patterson AFB to Hanscom AFB in 1961 and never looked back. She also had many part time jobs while working for Hanscom to make ends meet. She was a staple of the staff at the "Old Oaken Bucket" until it closed. After finally retiring from Hanscom in her 70's, she began working as a principal aide at the Abbott School in Westford. She was an example to all who knew her.

She is survived by her sister Geri in California, and her brother William in Ohio. She has a son Mitchell, daughter Kathi , 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren

There will be a celebration of life ceremony at the Abbott on Saturday January 7th at 6:30 in the cafeteria. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations be sent to https://angelinkweb.page.link/kXAyfKCcGEz3WLa97 to help differ the medical costs, or the lily foundation for diabetes.
