Kathleen Jean Corona of Carpentersville Kathleen Jean Corona, 55, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. She was born Sept. 7, 1956, in Chicago, the daughter of Richard and Jeanette (lacono) Dantzer. She was a loving mother, aunt and friend to all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Magdaleno "Mario" Corona, to whom she had been married for 25 years; two daughters, Sonja Patino and Reina Corona; and siblings, Bonnie (John) Graf and John Dantzer. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Larry Dantzer. Funeral services will begin at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin, with prayers at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, and process to St. Monica Catholic Church for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin. Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the family. For information, 847-741-8800 or www.lairdfamilyfuneralservices.com.
