Pardon my belated condolences.
I just heard of Kathleen's passing.
A half century ago,Sunday Mornings at the Catholic War Veterans Hall on State St in Bridgeport is where I learned my threes and sevens.
I know Kathleen's in heaven doing her classic reel step: cross and kick and run, run, run, and, rock, rock, rock...!

Dear Dick, Kathy and family,
I am very sorry for your loss. Kathleen was such a significant part of mine and my sisters' childhoods as our teacher, mentor and friend. It was a great pleasure to have her play a similar role in my daughter's life. We have so many great memories between us. We will keep you all in our prayers.

Dear Mr. Jones, Kathy and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I often think of Ms. Mulkerin and the lessons she shared with me as one of her Emerald Dancers (the point!)
I have such fond memories of her allowing me the privledge of helping her teach on Saturday's, starting in Greenwich, going for a burger and a hot fudge sundae then on to Stamford or Norwalk.I can't squish into the middle seat of a car without laughing and thinking of sitting on the hump in the red convertable as she drove us to so many shows with Rosemary and Michael Browne, Kieran Callahan, Kevin Hutchinson,Thomas McGovern, Kathy, etc. When I think of our trip to Ireland in 1976, as I have teenagers of my own now, I can't help but think what a truly special women she was to take us there and be our serrogate MOM! You too Mr. Jones!! Kathleen was truly an inspiration in my life and I will miss her. Your family is in my prayers.

On behalf of my Mother, Anita Fleming Jacobi and myself, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
We have so many memories of the Irish Dancers taking the stage at the Pink Tent Festival of Arts. When mom and I stroll memory Lane with regard to the Festival , the Mulkerin Dancers have always been one of the highlights mentioned. My mom loved the passion and excitment each time they took the stage.
A true legacy has been left here on earth for years to come.
With blessings and prayers...

Dear Dick and Kathy,
Not a day goes by that I don't in some way think about my growing up as one of Kate Mulkern's dancers. Kate is one of my most cherished mentors and I will always be grateful for her gifts of discipline, structure and most importantly, affection. My thoughts, prayers and love are with you and your family during this time of difficult loss.

Mr. Jones, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Mrs. Jones was the strongest person I knew, she loved life, people, dance, and a great mentor for me. To this day, when I hear a car horn on the street on a Saturday morning feel the urge to jump out of bed and scream out the window "I'll be right down." Thinking of you always.

Dick, Kathy, Maggie, Amy and the whole Mulkerin/Jones Family,

Kathleen was one of the most inspiring people I've ever met. She made such an impact on mine and so many other dancer's lives. There is no way I will ever forget what she taught me, she gave us more than just steps. I have so many wonderful memories that she has given me to remember her by. She will be greatly missed by me, my family, and anyone who has ever been an Emerald Dancer.

My deepest sympathy to the family. She had a great impact on my life. I was a student of hers for about three years around 1950 in Norwalk. She took us to several Feis competitions in New York and CT. She taught us some very important things that carried through our lives. That is where I learned the true meaning of the word DISCIPLINE. A wonderful person who will be missed by all.
