I came to know Kathy later through mutual friends. She was always fun to be around, loved her infectious laugh. She used to call me her little Republican friend. RIP Cathy, u will be missed.

I am so saddened to hear of such a great loss to mankind. She will always be remembered to me as "Okon". That's how I introduced her to my Mom when she came to visit me at my home for the first time. We spend many adventures together in high school, hitchhiking all over Chicago. We had so much fun together. After high school at Lourdes, she went to NIU while I went to SIU; she got married to Steve and I moved out to California. Many years later she called me when her son developed Type 1 diabetes, remembering that I developed it in my Sophmore year at Lourdes which she said stuck with her forever. Christine, if you are still in SF, please contact me at [email protected]. Your whole family is in my prayers. May she rest in peace.

Life is made of small precious moments, and Kathy was a master of creating those moments with everyone she met. Kathy knew how to live life fully and loved everyone wholeheartedly. I remember so many great times with Kathy, movie nights, dinners, Sunday golf, golf trips, and just hanging out having glass of wine. I will honor her memory to remember to bring a little bit of her light and laughter into my life just as she would have wanted. Love you my friend, you will be greatly missed always and forever. Heidi
