Kathleen Peterson Obituary
She was a member of Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church. She was an EMT and a Hospice volunteer. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter and friend.
She is survived by her husband Kent Peterson of Welsh; sons, Kris Peterson and companion Amy Paul of Dallas, Tx; Nick Peterson and wife Holly of Lake Charles; mother, Fannie Belle Doucet of Welsh; nephews, Gaston Doucet, Bryant Peterson, and Johnny Bias; Niece, Paige Peterson, Brittany Bias, and Jazalynn Bias; numerous aunts and uncles. She is preceded in death by her father Wilfred Doucet and brother R J Doucet.
Her service will be Monday, March 5, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church. Father Herbert May will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh. A prayer service will be Sunday at 7:00 p.m. and visitation will resume Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service. Burial will be at Bon Pasteur Cemetery. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com

I was so shocked to hear of Kathleen's passing. I didn't even know she had been sick. It seems like just yesterday we were hanging around together in high school. And now I turn around and am reading about her passing. It doesn't seem like it could be true, but I'm sure she is in a better place now. My thoughts and prayers are with Kent and the entire family.
