Kathryn Balsam Obituary
Her warm presence will be deeply missed by her husband, George, to whom she was married for over 60 years, as well as by her children, grandchildren, brother, and numerous friends.
She is survived by her loving family: her husband, George; son, Jeff Balsam and his wife Becky; daughters, Patricia Irias and her husband Gerson, and Amy Balsam; grandsons, Andrew Balsam, Evan Balsam and his wife Nina, Christopher Irias, and Jonathan Irias; and her brother, Ron Draper and his wife Laura. Kaye was preceded in death by her parents.
Throughout her life, Kaye created lasting memories and friendships across many cities. Her battle with Alzheimer's disease brought her to Silver Leaf Assisted Living in Allen, where she received exceptional care and support.
Kaye was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Community in McKinney, Texas, where her life will be celebrated with a funeral mass on November 1, 2024, at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, to honor Kaye's memory and support ongoing research and care initiatives for those affected by the disease. Donations can be made at https://www.alz.org or your favorite Alzheimer's foundation or charity.
