Kathryn Dent Obituary
Kathy, as she was known to all, passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her devoted husband of 57 years, Dennis Dent, and her children.
Anyone who knew Kathy knew that she was a devoted wife to Dennis, her best friend. They laughed often and loved each other fiercely.
Kathy's greatest accomplishment is her family, and being a mom to her 10 children. Nothing was more important to her than her testimony of Jesus Christ, and teaching her children to follow him. She loved supporting her children in whatever talent they were pursuing. She watched more t- ball, softball, and baseball than any mom should be required too! That support continued into her grandchildren's lives. Kathy loved reading, puzzles, scrapbooking, bowling, and she played the accordion. Kathy was gentle, kind, and loved everyone whether a stranger or friend. She loved to serve and could always be found doing for others. Kathy's grit and determination were obvious in her fight against MS (multiple sclerosis.) Her legacy is one of love for family, faith in her Savior, and amazing strength in the face of adversity.
Kathryn Rose Dent was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on 01/24/1948 to James and Lois (Leora) Nelson. Kathy is survived by her Husband Dennis Dent, children KayDee (Kirt) Mcneil, Candace (Brad) Holyoak, Jamie (Layne) Mortensen, Dennis Randall (Randy) (Lubna) Dent, Damon (Lindsay) Dent, Stephen Dent, Jared (Rebecca) Dent, Nelson (Chelsea) Dent, Amanda Dent, Cajsa (Dale) Whipple, and her 40 grand children.
Viewing and funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

Kathy was my neighbor and friend. I was always impressed by her calm, loving presence and peaceable demeanor. She was patient with my children and had such a cute giggle as she reported their activities. Kathy inspired me to be patient with my own children and realize the precious moments of their childhood. Kathy, you taught me by example and I am grateful for you!
